To register more than one person on the same form, make sure you add a guest, and check for additional meals if you are requesting meals. You can pay by check, credit card, or Paypal.  You will have the options at the end of the process. If you click Paypal, you will have the option to use Paypal or use a credit card.

 For our Fall 2017 outing, the statewide society is pleased to partner with the Southeast Coast Chapter. On Saturday, September 16th, the 3rd Annual Native Plant Festival, sponsored by the Native Plant Alliance, will be held at New Hanover County Arboretum in Wilmington. On Sunday, September 17th, the North Carolina Native Plant Society has organized half-day hikes to nearby EV-Henwood Nature Preserve and the Green Swamp Preserve. All Saturday events are free and open to the general public and no registration is required. Sunday hikes will require this registration and a fee of $10.00 will entitle registrants to participate in both the morning and afternoon hikes.

The Native Plant Festival, 9 am until 4 pm, Saturday, September 16th.

All Saturday events will be held at the New Hanover County Arboretum, 6206 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC. Festival events include native plant vendors, live music, games for children, Master Gardener consultations, a seed exchange, food vendors, and speakers on a variety of native plant topics. Saturday afternoon will feature a campus walk at nearby UNC Wilmington led by UNCW's Darin Penneys.

Sunday half-day hikes are scheduled for 9 am and 1:00 pm. Both the morning and afternoon hikes will originate and depart from the Walmart Supercenter, 1112 New Point Blvd, Leland. Hike participants will be encouraged to carpool from this location and hikes will return to this same location. There are several nearby options for lunch including McDonalds, Arbys, and Applebees.

            Ev-Henwood (pronounced "Heavenwood") is a 175-acre coastal forest preserve owned and managed by UNC Wilmington. The preserve has 7 miles of maintained trails through a diverse variety of hardwood and pine forest habitats. The site is located at 6150 Rock Creek Rd., Leland, NC.

            The Green Swamp Preserve, owned and managed by The Nature Conservancy, is a North Carolina botanical treasure and a prime example of a fire-managed Longleaf Pine savanna. The Green Swamp Preserve is accessed from Highway 211 and is about 30 miles from Leland.

            Two hotels in Leland have offered rates for this outing. Both are very close to the Walmart Supercenter:

            —the Holiday Inn Express, 1020 Grandiflora Drive, Leland, is offering king rooms for $99 plus tax through September 9th. Their phone number is 910-383-3300.

            The Best Western Plus, 1120 Towne Lake Drive, Leland is offering king rooms for $129 or king mini-suites or rooms with 2 queen beds for $139. Their phone number is 910-371-2858.
