Join us for a preview of our fair gardens, including a new one focused on NC native plant nurseries down the hill from our main gardens and booth. Learn about volunteering during the fair, enjoy refreshments and socialize with NCNPS friends.
If you have not signed up yet, this is a great time to do so! But you're welcome to come to the preview even if you can't volunteer at the Fair.
Optionally bring a light snack for the social time and your extra native plants to share during the plant swap at the end of the event.
We would also appreciate extra plants for our plant give away at the fair. Ideally 6-20 potted native plants in 4-inch pots or smaller. Please label them. Multiples of the same species of herbaceous perennials or shrubs would be helpful.
And dry acorns to fill our basket!
2:30 – Social time, try out the interactive activities for our fair visitors, Meet the Garden Team
3:15 – Visit the NEW Native Plant Nursery Exhibit
3:45 – Fair Garden Volunteer Overview and questions and answers

Enter the fairground via Gate 5 or 6 off Youth Center Drive. Park in the lawn near the two big pine trees across from the Flower Show garden gate. We are the first garden to the right when you go through the gate. We hope you plan to stop by to see how the garden looks this year!
Open to all with registration required; group cap is 50.
Registration details
If you're signing up for two people, please either enter separate registrations or enter the second person as a guest, even if you have a family membership. Otherwise it throws off the count and registration list. If both people use the same email address you can just leave the email address blank for the guest registration.
