Uwharrie Chapter April Meeting Preserving Native Plants from Rapidly Developing Landscapes

The Uwharrie Chapter of the North Carolina Native Plant Society will meet at 6 PM on Tuesday,  April 14, 2026.

Location: Catawba College Center for the Environment, Room 302, 2300 W Innes St, Salisbury, NC

6 PM - Join us refreshments and a tour of the Catawba College Preserve lead by Preserve Keeper Josh Cool.

7 PM - Our guest speaker is Carrie DeJaco, Catawba College Adjunct Professor of Biology and Environmental Science and co-founder of Constructive Plant Rescue that rescues native plants from land slated for development.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a native plant, seeds or other items for the door prize drawing.
