Volunteers and friends of the Oconee Bell Chapter will once again gather mosses and ferns from the Edward Baker Preserve before the pine grove is converted into a high altitude wildflower meadow. The Edward Baker Preserve is a Highlands Cashiers Land Trust property that is open to the public just north of Cashiers at Kettle Creek Road.
Jessica Blackburn of the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust has once again welcomed our help with the VERY POPULAR fern and moss rehoming projects that we did in October and March. We will pot native plants that would not survive without shade in the new mountain prairie.
Location: Edward Baker Preserve in Cashiers, NC
Date: Friday June 12, 2026. 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
