We plan on providing some fun pollinator activities for children of all ages (face-painting, pipe cleaner crafts, mask painting, and free seeds)! If you plan to bring plants for the swap, please have them labeled with both the botanical and common name.As you are potting plants, please pot your small plants for the swap at least 4 weeks in advance to give them time to settle. Members who bring plants to exchange will have the first opportunity to select plants, and then remaining pots will be exchanged by or given to visitors or non-members. No plants to trade? No problem, we will have plenty to share! Members who are knowledgeable about native plants will share some useful resources, so this will be a great opportunity to ask questions and learn. Our native plant exchange event is being planned for the Green Market which was founded on the mission of The Village Green to enhance the quality of life for Cashiers area residents and visitors by offering a tailgate market featuring fresh, locally grown food. The Oconee Bell Chapter will have a non-profit “vendor” booth at the Green Market of the Cashiers Village Green only on May 29. To offer the native plant swap and pollinator plant activities on May 29, a group of volunteers is signing up by registering for a free SignupGenius account at https://www.signupgenius.com/register Then to volunteer, once you have your account, send a message with the email used to create your account in an email to npelaez@purdue.edu with "SignupGenius" in the subject line.
