We have reserved a block of rooms with a great discount at the Comfort Inn (828-369-9200). The total cost per room, per night, is $88.60 ($77.70 plus tax), with breakfast included. When making motel reservations please ask for the group rate for NCNPS. This price will be good until March 22, 2018. After that, you will have to pay the full price.

During that weekend, NCNPS will hold all meetings, lectures and a silent plant auction led by Mark Rose in Tartan Hall at the historic First Presbyterian Church. There will be a Friday afternoon hike for those arriving early, hikes Saturday morning and afternoon, and half day hikes on Sunday morning.  All meals are on your own.

Gary Kauffmann will be the speaker on Friday night giving an overview of plant communities in the Franklin area, and Brent Martin will be the speaker on Saturday night telling us of  William Bartram’s journeys in this area.  Hike leaders will be Gary Kauffmann, Brent Martin, Larry Mellichamp, Mark Rose, Dan Pitillo, and others.

Here is a list of the Hikes. You will be asked on the next page to sign up for the hikes you want.  Please Study this before you proceed.

This year we are having a special Silent Auction with some beautiful, specialty items. There will NOT be a general plant auction, so NO need to haul along plants to the spring trip.

Mark Rose has requested that if you do have a special plant that is hard to find or propagate, please contact him for possible inclusion in the silent auction. blueridgencnps@yahoo.com

We hope that you can join us for the weekend.
