  What Else is New This Year?

  • Drop off your donated plants between 9:30 and 10:00.
  • Take a guided hike on the Falcon Trail, part of the Catawba Lands Conservancy Carolina Thread Trail system or explore the Pfeiffer University Rain Garden between 9:30 and 11:00.
  • Listen to live music from "Pollen Oats", our very own botany band, visit community environmental partner tables and shop for plants at the plant sale and auction from 11:00 to 1:00.
  • Enjoy air conditioned comfort in Knapp Gym.  All activities except the plant sale will be held inside the gym. If it rains, the plant sale will move inside as well.

The plant sale will be held near the Knapp Gym on a shady grassy lawn. The majority of the plants will be marked for individual sale. You can bid on special or unique natives in the Live auction portion of the sale which begins at 1:30 after  the Annual Meeting.

Pro tips for the plant sale

• Label each and every plant donated to the sale with Latin name and common name. Only native plants accepted.
• Bring your own labeled box(es) or containers to collect and carry your plant purchases.
• To avoid longer wait times in paying by credit cards, bring cash or checks to pay for your plants.
  

The Picnic and Annual Meeting

We will gather inside the air-conditioned gym for our picnic lunch from 11:30-1:00.  Bring a side dish or dessert to share. BBQ meat and drinks will be provided. Bring a serving spoon for your side and your own cup for drinks.

The annual meeting will take place from 1-1:30.  The Live auction will begin at 1:30 and final plant purchases will be made from 1:30-2:00.

The event will be limited to members and one guest each with a total of 200 participants.  To attend, register below.REGISTER

Payment Details

NCNPS accepts cash (preferred), check, and credit card. You will be able to renew your annual membership at the picnic or you can renew it online prior to the meeting.
